The practical
In this practical, we are going to use the techniques and tools discussed in the BMN2000/CMB2000 lectures.
The practical is laid out in a set way with a number of pages (one following on from another) of tasks to complete, and each page uses a colour scheme to help you follow your work.
  1. Text that appears like this, with a bullet point at the start
  2. Provides a summary of the work/task you are about to do
  1. Text that looks like this.
  2. With a number at the start of each line.
  3. Are instructions to be followed, to help you complete the task.
In some places, additional help will be given, and the text will appear as is seen here.
Dispersed throughout the practical there are a number of tests that you can do to gauge your understanding.
1) Quizzes are in this practical to...
One answer only.
   annoy me.
   waste my time.
   fill in space.
   cause problems.
help me test my understanding of the material.
give Dr Morris something to do.
You can take the test when you want, and it will give you an instant mark, and feedback if you get a question wrong.

If this site is used outside the BMN2000/CMB2000 practical period, or even during the practical period(!), you may get slightly different results for some of the searches. The databases used on this training site are updated daily, so results may change.
