&lt;div&gt;Carbon is an organic element which is prevalent in nature and living organisms. The atomic weight of carbon is 12 and its atomic number is 6. Carbon exists naturally as two allotropes namely graphite and diamond. The melting point of carbon is 3652&amp;lt;sup&amp;gt;o&amp;lt;/sup&amp;gt;C&amp;amp;nbsp;and its boiling point is 4827&amp;lt;sup&amp;gt;o&amp;lt;/sup&amp;gt;C. Being that Carbon is the only element that forms strong single covalent bonds to itself, it is an intricate constituent of the biosphere.&amp;amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;
