&nbsp;The L isomer of [[Amino_acids|amino acids]] is the 'living isomer' as it is the only naturally occuring optical&nbsp;isomer.&nbsp;Every amino acid (apart from&nbsp;[[Glycine|glycine]]) has steriochemistry as&nbsp;there are four different groups attached to the central&nbsp;chiral [[Alpha-carbon|alpha carbon]].
