Rab is a [[GTP-binding proteins|GTP-binding protein]] family with approximately 200 [[Amino_acid|amino acids]] and similar to [[Ras|Ras]] structure. These proteins bind and hydrolyse [[GTP|GTP]]. It is thought to have a role in vesicle fusion rate control (Rab5 and early [[Endosome|endosomes]]).
