&nbsp;Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (CJD) is a fatal neurological brain disorder which is caused by a mutation in the&nbsp;gene for the body’s normal prion protein. It is similar to other neudegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and Huntington disease, due to the unique changes in brain tissue caused by this prion mutation. As a result, patients with CJD suffer a wide range of symptoms such as memory loss, inability to fuction independently and even impairment of vision.
