The Eukarya domain, also know as&nbsp;[[Eukaryotes|Eukaryotes]], is the most recent domain in the history of [[Evolution|evolution]]. 

The main differentiating characterisic of all eukarya is the distinct [[Nucleus|nucleus]] contained within each cell of a multicellular [[Organism|organism]] or the single cell of a unicellular organism<ref>Berg, J, Tymoczko, J, Stryer, L. (2011) Biochemistry, 7th Edition, New York: W.H. Freeman and Company. Chapter 1, Page 3.</ref>. 

This [[Nucleus|nucleus]] contains all of the organisms genetic information, which in eukaryotes is arranged as linear chromosomal [[DNA|DNA]].<br>
