A genetic sequence is the sequence of the [[DNA|DNA]] or RNA of an organisnm by [[Amino-acids|amino acids]] which encode proteins and hold the information of the expression of the [[Genome|genome]] they are in. 

The genetic sequence encodes according to the [[Genetic code|genetic code and]] if a mistake happens during that process[[Mutations|mutations]] are probably going to occur on that [[Genome|genome]]. Mutations such as[[Missense mutation|missense mutation]], [[Nonsense mutation|nonsense mutation]], insertion, [[Deletion mutation|deletion]], substitution can happen causing many diseases and syndromes. Some of those diseases are [[Cancer|cancer]], [[Sickle cell anaemia|sickle cell anemia]] and some syndromes are Down syndrome,[[Edward's Syndrome|Edward's syndrome]].
