Anaphase II is a stage involved in Meiosis II, It is prior to Prophase II and Metaphase II but before Telophase II and Cytokinesis. During Anaphase II Spindle fibres attached to the centromere of the Dyad which are aligned on the metaphase plate, the spindle fibres originate from the Centrioles at opposite poles of the cell. The spindles pull in opposite directions towards the poles degrading the cohesion between chromatids and degrading the chromatid, only in Anaphase II are the 'kinetochore microtubules pointing in opposite directions aiding the seperation of chromatids in to seperate daughter cells' (Bruce Alberts, 2002) The Dyads are then pulled apart into Monads towards opposite poles.
