Aging is the process by which organisms grow older. It is seen as progressive functional decline and has a wide range of physiological functions. As a result of aging most organisms become more susceptible to disease.
There are many age-related diseases, common ones including osteoarthritis, cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer's and diabetes.
