PubMed is a large database allowing users to access many biomedical citations from online books, journals and from the Medline database. On January 26th, 1996 it was first released to the public[1].

PubMed allows anyone to search for information published in scientific journals based on Key Word Searches, searches by author, and many other categories. It also contains a Citation search feature which allows the user to find a specific journal based on the Journal Name, Date of publishing, volume and page numbers.
