Pregnancy is the period in which an organism, such as a human, carries an embryo. This time period will usually include a large amount of hormone inbalance and changes to the organism itself. For instance in female humans, progesterone levels and oestrogen levels are altered to what they would usually be and this in turn stops the menstrual cycle of the female.
