Digestion is the process of breaking down large insoluble food molecules to smaller soluble molecules to be absorbed in the small intestine.
Digestion is divided into two types: Mechanical digestion which is the physical break up of food in the mouth and stomach, and also chemical digestion which is braking up food molecules using enzymes.
