Bone marrow is the soft tissue found in the middle of hollow bones and it makes up about 4% of the total body mass of an adult human. Bone marrow consists of haemopoietic stem cells which differentiate into Red blood cells, White blood cells and Platelets. Approximately 500 billion blood cells are produced from the bone marrow each day.
