Memory B cells play a vital role in immunity. They are white blood cells which are developed in lymphocytes and mature in the bone marrow[1]. They are long living plasma cells which when activated create a secondary antibody response when necessary.
Activation
Memory B cells are mostly dependent on T cells for activation[2]. When a memory B cell is activated by antigen binding, the antigen enters the memory B cell via endocytosis which is then degraded into peptide pieces which results on the membrane of the cell[3].
