 Membrane transport protein is protein that involves in moving substance in and out of the plasma membrane of cell. This is vital for cells to regulate intracellular fluid and extracellular fluid to prevent themselves from shrink or burst.

There are two main types of membrane transport protein which are ion channel and carrier protein.
