Angiotensin I is involved in the Renin-Angiotensin system, involved in controlling blood pressure and regulating the Na+ concentration in the blood. It is converted from Angiotensinogen, a reaction catalysed by Renin. Angiotensin I is cleaved by the Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) to produce the hormone, Angiotensin II[1] .
