Radiotheraphy is one technique used to treat cancer. It treats this malignant disease which ionizing radiation using high energy X-ray beams[1]. The effects of radiation on cell tissues include apoptosis of mature functional cells as well as the loss of cells reproductive capacity. Of cancer patients cured it is estimated that 40% is through radiotherapy - this illustrates what an important treatment this is[2].
