The blood stream is the blood that circulates the body in humans and animals. The blood stream is important as it allows gas exchange to take place within lungs as well as the transport across kidneys and cell membranes[1]. The continuous movement of blood ensures that oxygen can diffuse from the lungs and bind to haemoglobin so that it can be transported to respiting tissues[2].
