L-amino acids follow the CORN law. This is the structure of the L-amino acid. CORN Law is when you read the structure of L-amino acid from a clockwise direction and the carboxyl group (CO) comes first then the R group which is the specific side chain and lastly the amine group (N). This gives CORN.
