James Watson was a scientist at Cambridge university. He, along withFrancis Crick, proposed the 3-D model and double helix structure of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). They put forward their theory in 1953[1]. Watson-Crick base pairing is another name for complementary base pairing.
