Cell division is a process which occurs in all living cells. There are two types of cell division, [[Mitosis|Mitosis]] in which the parental cell divides into two genetically identical daughter cells usually for growth and repair and [[Meiosis|Meiosis]] in which the parental cell divides into four genetically different cells which are gametes.

Cell division is a process which occurs in all living cells. There are two types of cell division, Mitosis, in which the parental cell divides into two genetically identical daughter cells with the purpose usually being for growth and repair and Meiosis where the parental cell divides into four genetically different cells which are know as gametes.
