 The adrenal medulla is the inner region of the adrenal gland. This section of the adrenal gland is highly involved with the Sympathetic nervous system as possesses a rich supply of nerves and blood vessels[1].

It secretes Adrenaline and Noradrenaline during periods of stress or instantaneous exposure to stimuli to prepare the body for quick response to said stimuli. This is often referred to as the "Fight or flight" response[2].
