Flow Cytometry is a technique used to analyse cells by passing one cell at a time through a laser beam; the light scatter shows the characteristics of the cell. The fow cytometry instrument consist of three main systems which it uses to carry out it's function. These systems are: the fluidcs (moves particles in a stream of fluid to the laser beam), the electronics(carries out change of light signals into electronic pulses) and the optics(made up of lasers for illumination of particles passing through cytometry).
