Colour Blind is a type of eye disease, which people feel challenging to recognize and identify between certain colors, for example, red and green (Red-green color blindness) or blue and yellow (Blue-yellow color blindness)[1].
The most common colour blind is Red-green colourblind.It's a common problem that affects around 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women. In rare cases, some people have trouble with blues, greens and yellows instead. This is known as "blue-yellow" colour vision deficiency.(NHS,2016)
Symptoms:
Find it difficult to tell the difference between reds, oranges, yellows, browns, and greens.
Observe these colours duller than they would appear to someone with normal vision.
Tests for colour blindness There are two of the major tests used to diagnose colour blindness are:
1. The Ishihara test[2] – where you're asked to identify numbers contained within images made up of different coloured dots
2. Colour arrangemen[3]t – where you're asked to arrange coloured objects in order of their different shades
