A proteasome helps to regulate the products of protein synthesis. It is a vesicle which degrades misfolded or damaged proteins.  
As stated in the paper of Peters , <u>et al.</u>, 1994:"Proteasomes are very large protein complexes found in some of the living organisms".Proteasomes have a key essential role in the cell by controling the protein and degrading the amino acids creating new proteins(Lodish H <u>et al</u>., 2004).
