The retina is located at the back of the eye and conatins a layer of photoreceptors. These photoreceptors are able to tranduce light energy that hits the retina into action potentials, however only Visible light can be interpreted by our Brain. The light coming into our eye must also be focused onto the retina this is done by the lens and Cornea refacting the light [1].
