Supernatant

During centrifugation, a sample is spun using centrifuge force which seperates particles from a solution basd on their density. More dense particles accumulate at the bottom of the centrifuge tube as a pellet. The Supernatant is the liquid that appears on top of the precipitate after centrifugation.
