Metabolic pathway
Metabolic pathways are highly regulated series of linked chemical reactions to degrade fuels and construct large molecules step by step in Living organisms1.
Metabolic pathway can be divided by two main types:
1.Catabolic Reactions: Those reactions transfer energy from fuel type into biological useful type.
2.Anabolic Reactions: Those reactions use the energy transferred from catabolic reactions to proceed series of activities.
Some pathways can be either catabolic or anabolic depending on the energy conditions in the living organisms called Amphibolic pathways1.
The energy form are commonly used in Metabolism is the universal common energy currency ATP1.
