Tamoxifen is a drug that has been used for the treatment of breast cancer for over 30 years [1].

It is used to treat patients with early-stage breast cancer and metastatic breast cancer  [2].

It works by interfering with oestrogen activity on breast cancer cells by acting on the oestrogen receptor cells  [3].
