Adenosine

Adenosine is a nucleoside with three phosphate groups. It is the main constituent of important molecules like ATP, and ADP.

Adenosine is a vasodilator agent and the local tissue hypoxia leads to the parenchymal formation of it. It causes vasodilation partly through the receptor-adenylyl-cyclase-cAMP pathway. Adenosine is formed in the interstitial fluid of skeletal muscle .
