RRNA
Ribosomal ribonucleic acid (rRNA) is the polynucleotide that ribosomes (ribosomes consist of approximately 60% rRNA and 40% protein), used for translation, are made of. It is the most abundant type of RNA in a cell.
In the cell rRNA decodes mRNA and translates it into amino acids. The rRNA interacts with TRNA(transfer RNA) which brings with it amino acids which correspond to the 3 base code on the mRNA sequence.
