Louis Pasteur was a French microbiologist born on December 27th in 1882 and died on Deptember 28th 1885. He is most famous for inventing the process of pasteurization. This involves boiling and rapidly cooling a substance in order to kill bacteria, meaning that food can last longer without being effected by microbial growth.
