The Gallbladder is an organ which stores and secretes digestive enzymes into the duodenum via the cystic duct. The Gallbladder is located below the liver, has a pear shaped structure and is divided into three sections. The Fondus is the base, The Neck is the thin section where enzymes and bile are drained into the cystic duct and The Sack is the main body of the Gallbladder and is essentially a fluid filled sack that stores the bile and enzymes before secretion.
