Immune thrombocytopenia

Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP) is a disease in which your immune system destroys the platelets in your blood believing them to be a foreign pathogen that is invading your body. It can occur both in childhood and adulthood of which there is different courses of treatments depending on the severity of the disease.
