Ethene is a hydrocarbon that has the chemical formula C2H4.It is part of a hydrocarbon family, in which all member share the same characteristic of having a double bond along the carbon skeleton.

Ethene has a molecular mass of 30.03 g/mol[1].

Under room temperature conditions, ethene is a colourless gas. Ethene's boiling point is at -104°C and it's melting point is -169°C[2]
