An X-ray is a form of electromagnetic radiation that have a wavelength between 0.01 to 10 nanometers and a frequency between3×1016 Hz to 3×1019 Hz. their high photon energy gives them a good penetrating ability which is why they are used to see inside objects such as for medical radiography and airport security.
