Luciferase
This a group of oxidative enzymes that convert luciferin to oxyluciferin in the presence of light leading to the generation of light. The name is derived from the word 'lucifer' which means light bearer and is useful in the pyrosequencing technique used in new generation DNA sequencing Cite error: Invalid <ref>
