Shine dalgarno

Shine Dalgarno sequence is the ribosome binding site on the mRNA to which the 30s subunit of a ribosome binds to. It is made up of purine nucleotides (adenine and guanine) and is usually between 3-9 nucleotides in length. The most common sequence is AGGA [1].
