Blood plasma

Plasma is the yellow/straw coloured liquid component thats makes up ~55% of blood and is responsible for holding blood cells in suspension as well as transporting nutrients (mainly soluble proteins, electrolytes, glucose, hormones and CO2) around the circulatory system.
