Heparin
Heparin is an anticoagulant, a blood thinner. It thins blood by preventing blood clots. It does this by inactivating thrombin which needs to be activated to produce fibrin. Fibrin is the protein that binds platelets together, for,img a blood clot. Therefore without fibrin being produced a blood clot can no longer be formed and this thins the blood.
