Phenylalanine

 

Phenylalanine (also known as Phe or F) is a non-polar aromatic α-amino acid, with the formula C₆H₅CH₂CH(NH₂)COOH. There are three types of phenylalanine, D-phenylalanine, L-phenylalanine and DL-phenylalanine.
