A neurone is a specialized cell which transmit electrochemical impulses in the form of action potentials and graded potentials in order to deliver messages from sensory receptors to effector cells via the nervous system.

Neurones are nerve cells. They carry information as tiny electrical signals. There are three different types of neurones, each with a slightly different function.
