Autophosphorylation

 This type of phosphorylation occurs on scaffold proteins on receptors that cluster together to form dimers, a main example of this is on Recepter Tyrosine Kinases. In this case, the phosphorylation of a tyrosine on one receptor, causes a cascade effect of the neighboring tyrosines on the other receptor by the way of cross-phosphorylation.
