ATP synthesis

Adenine trisphosphate (ATP) is a chemical known to be the primary source of energy in living organisms. It is produced by the enzyme ATP synthase from adenine diphosphate (ADP) and inorganic phosphate (Pi) in the inner mitochondrial membrane.
