Personalised medicine
Also known as Precision Medicine is a new approach being taken by pharmaceutical companies in the treatment of various diseases (e.g. Cancer). It involves tailoring treatments to an individual to maximise the effectiveness of the drug while also minimising side effects[1]. Therapies can be customised base on the specific sequence of the patient's genome.
