Sweat is the production of a liquid substance from the sweat glands in the body. It is secreted via pores in the skin of a mammal.

When the moisture reaches the skin surface, it comes into contact with air and evaporates. This is a method of homeostasis. By cooling the body down when hot, the body temperature can return to normal to enable enzymes to work as an optimum.
