Homologous chromosome

Homologous chromosomes are Chromosomes, which have the same genetic Loci. However, they may or may not have two different Alleles (version of genes e.g one allele coding for blue eyes and the other coding for brown eyes) where one Allele derives from a maternal Chromosome whereas the other one is from a paternal chromosome[1].
