Preganglionic neuron

The preganglionic neuron is the first efferent neuron in a series of two found in the autonomic nervous system. Originating in the CNS, the preganglionic neuron has its axon terminal in the autonomic ganglion where it will synapse with a postganglionic neuron cell body[1].
