Peptide hormones are messenger molecules used in the endocrine system of animals that are made up of peptides or proteins. A lot of peptide hormones work as growth hormones and the abuse of these hormones like with anabolic hormones i.e. steroids for muscle gain, can be extremely dangerous and cause serious health problems.
