Optimum pH

 Optimum pH is the pH range at which enzyme is most active. Each enzyme has its own optimum pH. For example, the enzyme pepsin is active in low pH, while the enzyme trypsin is active in high pH. As the pH deviates away from its optimum, it is less active.
